Who does not want affordable health care, but with Obamacare, is that what we are getting?  Many people can not afford health care insurance except through an employer, so Barack Obama had a plan.  He would succeed where Hillary Clinton had failed in the first term of her husband’s presidency.  After all, his program was ready to roll before the 2008 election ever began and with the Chicago political machine behind him to make offers that no one could refuse, how could he go wrong?

We have to pass the (health care) bill so you can find out what is in it. Nancy Pelosi, 9 Mar. 2010, speech to National Association of Counties

Was this famous quote from then Speaker of the House (2007 to 2011), Nancy Pelosi, the gaff of the year? Perhaps, her statement was misinterpreted from it’s original intention, but four years later the truth of her words does have spooky new meaning. At the time, Republicans were accused of perverting her statement to mean that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was just too many pages and that the Democrats wanted to expedite it’s passage and ram it down America’s throat, before anyone could actually read it. After all, many of them had failed to do so.  In fact, the only Democrat who did claim to have actually read the voluminous legislation, also referred to as Obamacare, was Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio 1997-2013). However, may I suggest that Ms. Pelosi was really referring to a bowel movement, which for many Americans makes sense, Obamacare – same thing.

This section will be an ongoing journal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act (PPACA), so updates will be part of the format. If  Obama’s signature achievement did not involve health care coverage, the drama already played out over this very serious issue, would merit a place in my “Laughs and Giggles” section rather than gutsy “News and Commentary.”

This project will examine the initial phases of how and where Obamacare began. Then I will advance through some of the most memorable legislative challenges and legal conflicts of how it passed into law, the exchanges and ‘trick or treat’ website, the number of people claimed to have enrolled by the appropriate date of 1 April 2014, as well as a number of other issues that continue to surface about Obama’s great plan for America. Perhaps this is one of Obama’s ideas of “collective salvation” equal dissatisfaction and misery for everyone, except those who support the Party line.

I doubt that Abraham Lincoln’s 13th Amendment had more twists, turns and hurdles to maneuver than Barack Obama’s health care initiative, but then Obama is no Lincoln and unlike Obamacare, the 13th Amendment was a righteous cause destined for success.  The revelation of just what is “in” Obamacare after it was “passed” as Nancy Pelosi famously stated, has turned out to be a three day old carp wrapped in newspaper.  Yet, by making concessions to major collective groups like unions, who now also have problems with this legislation, others on the Left, to include Obama, have worked it very much like a stool sample, so that the smell is not so offensive to their constituents – for now!

Rather than health care, the Affordable Care Act is about control and most Americans do not want it, so the fight is far from over. Mend it?  Ok, that is one option, not one that I favor, but it does deserve consideration. However, I will also introduce any Republican counter solutions to the ACA, but there are also other non-partisan ideas that you have a right to know about. The American people have not been well served in recent years by most of the main stream news media (MSN) so it is time for private citizens to step up. Perhaps we can find reason to laugh through some of the tears along the way. So let’s blow away the fog of Obamacare/ACA/PPACA and take a good look at what happened and what we can still do about it.

Some argue that the Affordable Care Act is really all about helping the insurance companies to public funds, but cloaked as a “free market” health care system.  However, as the system funnels down to the real goal of a single payer system,  total control over the life of every American citizen will be achieved. Down Memory Lane

To begin this review of how the American people are being forced to take ‘bad medicine’, shall we start with information that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) discovered $105 billion of taxpayers’ money hidden in Obamacare, by Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama. In this video, she asks her colleagues to make a stand by refusing to raise the debt limit or pass any further appropriations legislation, unless these “hidden funds” are recaptured.  As a result, the new members of Congress promised not only to cut overall spending but specifically to repeal and defund Obama Care, but sadly much work has yet to be done.

Witness David Gregory’s Displeasure on Meet The Press, as he constantly tried to avoid the subject of hidden funds in Obamacare, but Bachmann refused to yield. Now that is leadership!  Bravo Michele!!

Obamacara and IRS Tyranny!!

Now if hidden funds doesn’t raise your concern about what Obamacare really means, then how about:

“IRS Seizes Medical Records of 60 Million Americans”

Yes, You Heard Me Right!

According to The American Spectator and numerous other news sites, yet virtually ignored by most of the MSM, a class-action lawsuit was filed against a group of IRS agents who,

stole more than 60,000,000 medical records  including at least 1,000,000 Californians.

Though only one former employee of the “John Doe Company” was said to be the target of their investigation, the 15 “John Doe agents” went for the entire company’s IT system and ordered the company’s IT personnel,

to transfer several servers of the medical records and patient records to the IRS for search and seizure, otherwise they would ‘rip’ the servers out of the building entirely.

None of the 10,000,000 Americans were under any kind of known criminal or civil investigation and their medical records had no relevance whatsoever to the IRS search. Further investigation also revealed that the IRS used the stolen IT media system to even order pizza and watch basketball at their headquarters. The charges also state that though the agents did obtain a search warrant for the financial records of the former employee in question, the warrant did not include medical records and certainly not 60 million confidential medical records from 10 million California residents.

According to The Blaze, The complaint filed by “John Doe Company”

These records could include those of every California state judge, state court employees, members of the Screen Actor’s Guild and the Directors Guild, and “prominent citizens in the world of entertainment, business and government, from all walks of life.  Liz Kalimas, 16 May 2013, The Blaze

The lawsuit is being led by the Robert E. Barnes and seeks $25,000 per violation per individual, a judgment that would protect the proprietary and privileged information of the medical records seized and an injunction to prevent the information from being shared.

For more on this bizarre case click here to read the complaint in Court House News.

Here is Judge Napolitano’s take on the case:

Why has this story been ignored by the MSM?

In an article published on 20 May 2013, by The American Spectator a suggestion is presented that,

The MSM is attempting to build a firewall between the IRS scandal and Obamacare. This is why the mainstream outlets are publishing so many columns and blog posts, like this one by Jonathan Cohn, assuring us that attempts to link the IRS scandal with Obamacare are “laughable.” David Catron, 20 May 2013, The American Spectator

Yet, Catron argues that this IRS scandal and Obamacare are “inextricably linked.”

They are linked because Obamacare and the President’s second most ill-conceived domestic initiative, the “stimulus” package, mandated that every health care provider in the country adopt the very technology, electronic health records (EHR), which renders such abuse possible. Before these mandates, it wasn’t possible to steal 60 million confidential records from any single entity except from the federal government itself.

Even more disturbing, Catron points out that the person from whom these records were stolen was not even a doctor or a nurse, but a data analyst who was carrying around huge amounts of medical information on a laptop.

This is where you should begin to have real fears for your privacy. Your medical records, once the province of highly trained medical professionals, are now routinely accessed by all manner of individuals uninvolved in your medical treatment. And many of these individuals are not closely supervised by medical professionals. Indeed, many of the people who have access to your medical records are not supervised by anyone.

Is this the type of government that we want, one that does not even respect our right to medical privacy?  Barack Obama has sealed all of his records from our review, medical, educational, personal, etc.  Yet, we his “subjects” have no rights?
