Even though I live in Honolulu, I am certainly not alone in my opinion that Barack Obama is a national disgrace, but I am probably the most vocal about it. Senior Airman Ret. Brian Kolfage. a veteran of the War in Iraq, also has something to say to this sorry excuse for a Commander in Chief. Therefore, I am providing a platform on which he can do so. Senior Airman Kolfage has certainly earned the right to speak out against the incompetence and self serving interests of this President. His open letter to Barack Obama is time well spent.
Is Sarah Palin really so wrong about how terrorists should be dealt with? When her words,
If I were in charge, our enemies would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists!
are considered within the context to which they were assigned, many Christians and non Christians alike find no issue with her statement, yet others are aghast. Sometimes good people will never agree, but we must be aware of the manipulators among us. Clear thinking and decisive actions against all threats are challenges for a constitutional republic such as ours, because so many opposing viewpoints are given voice. How can we hope to prevail against those who seek to crush us when we loose site of who we are? Furthermore, who are the voices that advise how we should be? The heart of America must beat fearlessly again with strong moral conviction as defined by our traditional, non collectivist values or we stand to suffer defeat from an enemy that would otherwise be a joke!
Rather than place blame on the negligence of the Obama administration, actor Montel Williams has a more hands on perspective and some helpful solutions for what can be done to help our veterans. As a former veteran himself, Williams served 22 years in the military, first in the enlisted ranks as a Marine before entering the Naval Academy and being commissioned as a Naval Officer. He retired a Lieutenant Commander before launching his career in television. So not everyone in Hollywood is clueless about those who serve in the ranks of our Armed Forces.
Before anyone ever heard of Terry Lakin, there was Ehren Watada, the young lieutenant who defied President Bush and challenged the United States Army over the invasion of Iraq. Though the campaign began before this former Eagle Scout decided to join the Army as a commissioned officer, he took his chances anyway. Then on 7 June 2006, Lt. Watada became the first commissioned U.S. military officer to risk a general court martial by publicly refusing to deploy as ordered to Iraq based on an argument that the war was “illegal and immoral”.
I have a legal and ethical obligation to speak out against, and refuse to fight, this patently illegal war in Iraq. Ehren Watada
The pensions of our military veterans are being cut? I have an idea. Why don’t we cut presidential pensions? After all, I am sure that under the circumstances this President would really like to do the right thing, but perhaps he is unsure of what the right thing is. Maybe he needs our help. I suggest that as Commander in Chief, Barack Obama should set the example and insist on cutting his own pension and retirement benefits. He certainly would not want to appear insincere, so a silly little gesture would be inappropriate. I urge him and perhaps you should too, to make deep cuts, bleeding cuts, cuts that reflect his job performance for what his “fundamental transformation” is doing to this country. Of course, I am sure that the man is much too modest to do it all by himself, so I suggest that if you like my idea to pass it on and send a message to your elected officials that he needs our help to make this happen. But first you have a right to know what his pension and benefits are, that is, if he survives the next three years without being impeached. Of course, we can only hope that in 2016, as a nation we are still able to pay any benefits to former presidents, even those who shred the Constitution that they swore to uphold and protect!
Finally The Obama Administration Defines A Terrorist
Most Likely You!
You need to know about how the military is now instructing its personnel to identify a “hate or extremist group”, as well as any individuals who may belong to them. A “hate” or “extremist” group can now include those that cherish mainstream conservative values. For now, such groups are to be identified, reported and at this point, avoided. Yes, a sinister strategy to twist our young and brave troops into a force that does not identify with traditional ‘mom and apple pie’ America is under way and very shortly the consequences will be lethal to the Republic!
Two Army officers, Terry Lakin and Ehren Watada took oaths to preserve and defend the United States Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Yet, in their efforts to do just that, both were court martialed. Each made a personal sacrifice based on principles of moral judgment, intellectual depth and ethical integrity, which is critical to the survival of our nation as a free people.
If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin. Samuel Adams
Though no date has been set, the House Oversight Committee plans to conduct a hearing in early 2014 on what went wrong with the Seal Team 6 disaster of August 2011, in Afghanistan. This hearing as initiated by Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), will hopefully reveal what really happened and who is responsible for betraying the brave men of SEAL Team 6. In addition, why facts that family members later uncovered continue to be denied by the Pentagon and the Obama administration. This case stinks all the way up the chain of command, but will they stick to Obama, because after all, he is the Commander in Chief?
I want to do something useful in the world. Amelia Earhardt
Capt. Katie Petronio delivers a riveting testimony about the female infantry experience in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan. This young and fit female Marine reveals much that aligns with my own article, Should Women Serve in Combat Infantry? but her recent experience gives much credibility to her argument against females in the Infantry. The toll that it took on her body was devastating and her end concern about the issue of combat readiness is a compelling argument to rethink this policy of integrating females into Infantry combat units. She writes, (more…)
What happened to the elite warriors of Seal Team Six that took out Osama Bin Laden? Family, friends and an increasingly angry nation want to know!
On 6 Aug. 2011, Fox News reported that insurgents shot down a U.S. military helicopter during a fight in eastern Afghanistan, killing 30 Americans, 25 of them belonging to the same elite unit as the Navy SEALs who killed former Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. A total number of 38 people died in the crash, killing 7 Afghans and one interpreter. In the months following, questions raised from lies revealed surrounding that tragic event, compelled some family members of those slain, to investigate on their own initiative. That this event happened just a few months after the successful search and confirmed kill of bin Laden is not lost on grieving families and friends. The facts that have been uncovered are riveting and strongly suggest Afghan culpability in the slaughter.
Jim Garrow, executive director of the Bethune Institute’s Pink Pagoda Girls school and rescue outreach in China. claims he was given information by a top military veteran that the Obama administration’s “litmus test” for new military leaders is whether or not they will obey an order to fire on U.S. citizens.
We possess weapons of tremendous power–but they are least effective in combating the weapons most often used by freedom’s foes: subversion, infiltration, guerrilla warfare, civil disorder. – John F. Kennedy’s University of Washington Speech, 16 Nov. 1961
Now women have the chance to live and die like infantry soldiers. Is this an opportunity to excel and lead others to victory or a bad mistake?
…In life, as we all know, there are no guarantees of success. Not everyone is going to be able to be a combat soldier. But everyone is entitled to a chance. Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta
Well ladies, on Thursday 24 January 2013, the Pentagon officially lifted the ban on a woman’s right and duty to serve in combat. The reform is to be phased in within a three year period and unless Congress delays or blocks the recommended change, the new policy should go into effect this summer. Yet, this is still a volunteer military so for now the job opportunity is only open for eager and qualified candidates.
We’ll integrate women in a way that enhances opportunity for everyone. This means setting clear standards of performance for all occupations based on what it actually takes to do the job. It also means ensuring that these standards are gender neutral in occupations that will open to women. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin E. Dempsey (more…)
Wake up America! The Democrats want to return the draft, but this time it will include your daughters!
It may have been good for the country, but it damn near killed the army. Sir Richard Hull
Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), first tried to introduce the Universal National Services Act (H.R. 748) to reinstate the Draft in 2003, no luck. Then he tried yet again in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, and most recently on 15 Feb. 2013, which on 6 March was then referred to the Subcommittee on Military Personnel. The summary is as follows:
